I have been working with Virginia frequently over the past four years to discover my past and work through angry outbursts and let go of my self-defeating beliefs. Her use of reframing makes a tremendous difference in quickly turning around my perspective but I would have found it difficult to get started without her help and insights. I am now able to stop mid-stream, recognize what I am doing, and let go of the anger tied to my childhood that has nothing to do with the moment I am in when anger takes over.

Virginia and I have worked together frequently over the past seven years. She has been valuable to me in navigating significant personal changes in my life. I could always count on her to calm my fears and help me see things from a positive perspective, which enabled me to move forward in my next step. I know I could not have dealt with my inner turmoil nearly as effectively without her insights and coaching. Virginia has a gift for valuing individuality and understanding matters of the heart.

After reading Reframe Your Viewpoints, which I found informative and profound in helping me to understand reframing better than I had before reading Virginia's book, we had a coaching session because I was having a difficult time reframing an on-going situation that was forever creating intense mind chatter for me. Virginia's manner in asking questions immediately brought a visual to my mind that clicked for me--it was an "ah ha" moment and I know that mental image will remain my reframing tool to pull out for this repeating situation in the future.

It was my pleasure to meet Virginia three years ago. I was lamenting the unrealistic expectations of one of my children when Virginia gently touched my shoulder and said, “That’s call Hope.” It was a calm reasonable appeal to my frustrated parental part. I was then able to see I needed to walk in my child’s shoes and empathize with her need for "Hope." Since that time, Virginia has continued to present open-minded empathetic conference. She has the skills and character that promote insight and wisdom. Her reliability, quiet demeanor and perseverance are an inspiration to my mind every time we talk.

Working with Virginia over the past few years as my life coach has helped me to understand relational dynamics much better. Whereas I used to feel frustrated when my wife and I argued over matters because I felt those arguments reflected a flaw in our marriage, I now am becoming more at ease with disagreement between us as a normal and healthy part of two people living together. She has helped me to believe that communication is not about being right or having the best idea. It's about looking from two perspectives, hearing each others ideas, giving those value and consideration and then coming to an agreement or compromise that fits the situation.

Following the death of my husband when I was facing frightening changes in life, Virginia's coaching and support helped to stabilize my moving forward. It was a very difficult time for me and I am thankful I had her guidance.
